Entry Rules:
1. All Skaters with roller skating training background are allowed to participate in the competition
2. Participants who are under 16 should have the permitting of guardian while entry, and accompanied with guardian when going to competing.
3. Participants are advised to entry in the race upon his/her own physical condition and training level.
4. Participants should assure that healthy on the day of competition.

5. People who fall into the following categories are advised NOT to participate in the marathon competition:
▲those with congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease
▲those with hypertension and cerebrovascular disease those with myocarditis and other heart disease
▲ those has serious coronary artery disease and serious arrhythmia
▲ diabetics with blood sugar of overhigh or overlow
▲others who are not suitable to sport

Race Course:
The starting is on the east of the crossing of Taihu Lake Bridge and Shuli Road. Finishing of 21km is in the square of Linghuzhu Park. 42km will turn around there and back to starting. The width of race course is 6m-8m.

Entry Confirmation:
Foreign skaters: 9:00am Sept 9th, 2006 to 12:00am 11th in Yijia Kaiyuan Hotel. Please confirm take passport and other ID card.
Confirmation procedure:
The entrants of 42km: pay entry fee, hand in copy of passport or ID card, receive accreditation, number, timing chip, ticket for opening ceremony, souvenir, T-shirt and Note for Participation.
The entrants of 21km: pay entry fee, receive accreditation, number, ticket for opening ceremony, souvenir, T-shirt and Note for Participation.
The entrants of 8km: pay entry fee, receive accreditation, ticket for opening ceremony, souvenir, T-shirt and Note for Participation.

Rules:
1. The events are conducted in accordance with Rules and Regulations for World Marathon certified by CIC, WIC
2. One start for all races.
3. Gate closing time:

4. An electronic timing system will be used for recording results. All 42km participants are required to wear a timing chip, which will be distributed upon a deposit of RMB 200. Deposits are refundable when chips are returned after the race at the site.
5. Finishers of Marathon will receive a souvenir.

Accommodation & Transportation:
Transportation:
1. Organizing Committee will arrange shuttles from Shanghai Pudong International Airport to official hotel. (From 9:00am Sept 11th to 8:00pm and from 9:00am Sept 12th to 12:00am)
2. Organizing Committee will arrange buses from Canal Park to the site. The buses will start at 6:30am, Sept 12th.
3. The later may be responsible for their missing.

Awards:
42km Open Group: Top three finishers in Men’s and Women’s Marathon will be issued with bonus (in USD, see the chart below), one cup, certificate, and will be invited to participate in Closing Ceremony.
21km: Top three finishers in Men’s and Women’s Marathon will be issued with one cup, souvenir and certificate, and will be invited to participate in Closing Ceremony.
8km: Finishers of Marathon will receive a certificate at the FINISH of 8km

Equipment & Suit:
Portative helmets, kneepad and wrist guards are mandatory to participate in the event. Participates have not protections according to Rulebook of WIC will be forbidden to race.

Insurance:
Participates from abroad and Hong Kong, Macau and Chinese Taipei have to have individual accident and illness insurance.
